About Chryssee Wright

About me
Chryssee Wright Relationship Therapist
Hi, I'm Chryssee, and I'm so glad you're here. I help couples who feel disconnected despite loving each other and individuals stuck repeating painful relationship patterns finally break free from old wounds so you can build love that feels safe and lasting.
Whether you're fighting the same fights, feeling alone in your relationship, or wondering why you keep attracting the wrong people, you don't have to figure this out alone. I'm here to help you heal from the root and create the connection you've been longing for.
My Story
My Journey to Becoming a Therapist
For years, I searched for connection and peace, only to find myself repeating the same painful patterns. I know what it feels like to grow up with unmet needs, to wrestle with self-doubt, and to carry old wounds into adult relationships.
My own struggles taught me that the pain we carry from childhood doesn't just disappear when we become adults. Those early experiences of feeling unseen or unheard can follow us into every relationship, creating cycles of conflict, distance, or choosing partners who can't truly love us well.
But my journey also taught me something powerful: healing isn't about quick fixes. It's about uncovering the roots of our patterns and learning how to rewrite them with compassion. That transformation in my own life ignited my passion for helping others break free from the cycles that keep them stuck and find the peace and connection they deserve.

Professional Background and Expertise
As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under clinical supervision, I bring seven years of experience helping individuals and couples transform their relationships. I'm the founder of Hartford Place Counseling, where I specialize in trauma-informed relationship therapy.
My credentials include certification in Schema Therapy and specialized training in Imago Relationship Therapy. I'm also experienced in Attachment-Based approaches and skilled in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for practical, forward-moving change. I've been honored to receive the "Art of Connection" award from Oakcliff Bible Fellowship Counseling Center for my work in relationship healing.
These aren't just techniques I learned in school. They're approaches I've seen transform lives, including my own. Each modality offers something unique, and I weave them together to give you both deep healing and practical tools you can use in your daily life.

My Approach
My Approach to Relationship Healing
I don't just hand you theory or sit silently while you vent. My approach integrates proven therapeutic methods with the understanding that comes from walking a similar path myself.
Using Imago Relationship Therapy, we'll practice new ways to communicate that prevent those same old fights. Through Attachment-Based work, we'll help you rebuild trust and security so anxiety doesn't hijack your relationships. With Schema Therapy, you'll finally understand and rewrite the negative beliefs about yourself that have held you back for years.
I believe therapy is about being human, not about being broken. My goal isn't just to help you cope, but to help you grow so you leave with real skills and a deeper sense of peace.

My Mission
What Guides My Practice
I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen and understood, not judged or analyzed.
I'm committed to creating a space where hard truths can be spoken, but always with compassion and sometimes even humor.
My mission is to help you break free from patterns that no longer serve you so you can build relationships that feel safe, secure, and deeply connected.
I believe faith can be part of healing if that's important to you, and I respect all beliefs and backgrounds equally.
I'm dedicated to meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you discover new ways of thinking, relating, and living.

Starting therapy can feel uncertain, and that's completely understandable. You might be wondering if this will actually help or if you're ready to open up about difficult topics.
I want you to know that you set the pace in our work together. We'll go as fast or as slow as feels right for you, and you never have to share anything until you're ready. My job is to create a safe space where you can be honest about your struggles and discover new possibilities for your relationships and your life.
